Feedback or suggestions regarding the Doujinshi Index are always welcome. I love to hear from people and to share information about doujinshi. Questions are welcome too, but please be aware that I am a busy person and I do not always respond right away.
To save my time (and yours), I offer the follwing FAQ. Please look it over before contacting me.

Where are the scans for [name of doujinshi]?
The Doujinshi Index was created to serve as a reference tool to share information with other doujinshi collectors and fans. It serves as a catalogue and repository of information about books done by selected circles in selected fandoms. It is not and never was intended to be a scan site.
As a matter of principle, I do not host doujinshi scans. Please don't ask me for them. I do not have ready access to a scanner. Even if I did, I would still encourage people to buy the originals instead. (For a discussion of the ethical issues involved in posting doujinshi scans, please visit this site.)
That said, and given the level of interest in and demand for scans, I do provide links to some sites which host them. In the case of scans with adult content, I endeavour to link to sites which make some attempt to verify that the visitor is of legal age. I am not responsible for these sites and cannot provide tech support in accessing the scans which they host. It is presumed that people who have reached the legal age are capable of following the directions provided by the sites in question.
May I copy content from the Doujinshi Index?
The images belong to the doujinshi artists, not to me. Feel free to use a few thumbnails or images from the site (although direct linking is most uncool and offenders will be flogged with wet ramen noodles). If you have found the Index to be a useful resource, however, it would be nice if you would acknowledge this with a link back to the site.
Please note that it is not acceptable to take all of the thumbnails in a section for posting on another website. Almost all of the thumbnails on this site have now been optimized with Photoshop - this has taken more time than I care to admit! There is no need to use these thumbs to mirror the same content on another site.
It is most annoying when people not only grab thumbs, but steal my layout as well (right down to the summaries I have written to describe individual books). Although not particularly beautiful or technically sophisticated, this site has been created by hand in Notepad (which again takes time). Copying these layouts amounts to theft. Add something useful to the online community; don't steal.
My question isn't answered here. How can I get an answer?
Contact me! Polite inquiries will receive a response (eventually!).
